Graduation

Lindley College is a Day Program for people with Developmental Disabilities and or Intellectual Disabilities. The vision of our program came from our desire to give the people we care for the opportunity to experience a College type atmosphere. We have planned programming similarly to what College students across the nation might experience at their Colleges or universities but at a level that our students will understand. We have based our Program on four basic principals, ( Wellness, Relationships, Community Service and Career Exposure). By exposing our Students to learning opportunities based on these principals we hope to develop a well rounded graduate which may take their skills to future learning types or work place locations.

Lindley College is different from other Day programs in the fact that our students will graduate from our program within a 5 year window. We want to make sure that we promote growth and develop of our students with new and fresh learning types and activities in their time at our College. We do not want to be a typical Day Program, in that placement may feel stale, or Students may feel that they may be "warehoused" and placed for life.

Each Student is exposed to many things over their years at Lindley College and will meet many criteria for graduation based on their abilities. At the graduation of our first class in 2016, we plan for our students to walk down the aisle, receive a diploma and receive the well deserved cheers for a job well done.

After College, if our Students would like to further their education with Lindley College, they may make plans to attend  our Masters program which kicks off in 2016, and will offer different learning experiences with Different Teachers and a different Curriculum. This course of study will also last for 5 years and will also end with a Graduation Ceremony.

If Students would like to seek their Doctorate at Lindley College. We are sure we will have a plan for this Class in the year 2021.

If you have other questions about our Program please feel free to Email or call any of our Day Program directors or Staff.
