Lindley Habilitation Services Autism Based Services     Summer Day Camp 2011 A socially-based summer day camp designed for students with High-Functioning Autism and Asperger's Syndrome in grades Pre-K through 8th.  We will be incorporating "How Does Your Engine Run" programming with an occupational therapist consultant. Students will participate in fun activities including music, art, outdoor play & group games. . Camp Goals: * Self regulation awareness taught in small groups * Choosing appropriate strategies to change or maintain states of alertness * Direct social skills training in small group setting * Social skills: give & take in friendships, problem solving, joint attention, symbolic play, turn taking * 1:3 staff to student ratio allows for individualized attention of each student's needs Weeks of Camp: June 20-24, 2011 June 27-July 1, 2011 July 25-29, 2011 August 1-5, 2011 Monday-Friday from 9am-12pm Camp Location: Grace United Methodist Church 438 W.
