O.A.S.I.S.

(Opportunities for After-school Social Interaction Skills)

A socially-based after school program designed for individuals on the Autism Spectrum. 

Our 1:3 staff to student ratio allows for individualized focus on student strengths and needs through social interaction.  Students have the opportunity to participate in highly structured weekly activities such as music, art, cooking, and community field trips. 

Throughout all activities appropriate behavior is encouraged, prompted,

and reinforced in small group settings.

Social Skills Classes

Social Skills Classes are designed for students with Asperger’s Syndrome and High-functioning Autism.  Direct instruction is provided in small group settings.  Sessions are individualized for the students enrolled.  Students meet for one hour once a week for a 5-week session.  Age groups currently offered are Pre-K, K-2nd grade, 3rd-5th grade.

Saturday-Out Social Buddy Club

Our Saturday Buddy Club meets once a month and is designed for students K-5th grade with moderate to high-functioning Autism.  From 9-12 students participate in rotating sessions addressing various social skills.  From 12-3 students go on a field trip where students focus on socialization and generalization of social skills.

Cost: $55 for full day (9-3), $30 for ½ day (9-12, or 12-3)

2011 Dates: January 15, February 19th, March 19th, April 9th, May 21st

Summer Day Camp 2011

A socially-based summer day camp designed for students with High-Functioning Autism and Asperger's Syndrome in grades Pre-K thought 8th.  We will be incorporating "How Does Your Engine Run" programming with an occupational therapist consultant. Students will participate in fun activities including music, art, outdoor play & group games.

Monday-Friday from 9am-12pm
