Supported Employment

Lindley Habilitation Services began in 1998 serving and supporting individuals in the intellectual and developmental disability community.  IMG_0223LHS works with individuals to develop social, educational, daily living and work skills.  This is accomplished by the dedicated staff who work one on one and in  group settings of individuals with disabilities.

Our Supported Employment Program takes the idea of supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and partnering with local businesses in their communities to provide meaningful and gainful employment while maintaining the support the individual may need while in the work environment.

Individuals are placed with a business who will employ them and utilize their skills as well as encourage the individual to gain new skills. The individual is not expected to have full time employment and may only work a few hours a week.  Direct care staff work closely with the individual to assure they are meeting expectations of their employment.
